Wicklow Mountains National Park: Mining Walk, Sunday 9 September 2018

Come and explore the old mining ruins of Glendalough. Learn about their rise and fall. Read the landscape and see how the Miners’ Village looked in its heyday.
Where: meet at the Education Centre, Miner’s Road, Upper Lake Car Park, Glendalough
When: Sunday 9 September at 11am
Duration: 2 to 2 ½ hours
Practicalities: This event is suitable for all ages but shall involve a gentle 30 minute walk to reach the site. Participants are advised to wear suitable hiking footwear (boots/trail shoes) and rain gear. Please leave your dog at home. This event is free of charge but please be aware that the Upper Lake car park (Wicklow County Council) has a €4 charge for car parking.
