Irish Nature (for Heritage Week), Sunday 19 August 2018 - free walk!

Take a nature ramble with a difference. We shall look at the meaning of some of our local place names and their connection to nature. We will also look at the link between our native Irish trees and ancient Irish Ogham language and discover some of the curious Irish names of our plant, mammal, bird and invertebrate species.

Where: National Park Information Office, Upper Lake, Glendalough

When: Sunday 19 August @11am

Duration: 1 ½ to 2 hours

Practicalities: suitable for all ages. Participants must bring suitable hiking footwear (walking boots/trail shoes), rain gear. Please leave your dog at home. This event is free of charge but please be aware that the Upper Lake car park (Wicklow County Council) has a €4 charge for cars.
