Expressions of interest for appointment as Chairperson for the Designated Areas Appeals Advisory Board (DAAAB) - SAC & NHA

The Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs seeks expressions of interest for appointment as Chairperson for the Designated Areas Appeals Advisory Board (DAAAB) – Special Area of Conservation and Natural Heritage Area Sites.
The role of the chairperson is to chair appeal hearings at which the Board determines recommendations to the Minister as regards the exclusion of land from a proposed designated site. He or she must have excellent communication skills, an interest in, knowledge or experience of nature conservation, regional and rural affairs and an ability to work with individuals and groups representing different perspectives.
Expressions of Interest for this appointment must be submitted by 5.30 pm on 19/5/17 to daaab@npws.gov.ie.
