New COVID-19 restrictions

Following the Government announcement on 22 December 2020 of new COVID-19 restrictions, the National Parks and Wildlife Section (NPWS) is awaiting further clarification in regard to hunting and shooting.
The NPWS of the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage has no function in determining what activities are permissible under COVID-19 Public Health Regulations nor in granting exemptions from compliance with public health regulations.
Any licences issued by the NPWS for any activity do not in any way confer exemptions in respect of public health regulations. Individuals who have licences from the NPWS must adhere to all public health regulations and guidelines as published by the Government in relation to COVID-19.
