Implementation of Section 7(1) of the Heritage Act 2018

Section 7(1) of the Heritage Act 2018 provides that the Minister may make Regulations to allow the burning of vegetation during such periods in the month of March and in such parts of the country as specified in the Regulations.
Draft Regulations and guidelines have been prepared and interested parties are requested to submit their views on the draft documents:

Best Practice Guidelines for Burning Management
The closing date for submissions has been extended to 5pm on Thursday 31 January 2019.
Submissions are invited from all interested parties and should be submitted via e-mail to: burning.consultation@npws.gov.ie.
