Walking
There are 3 marked walking routes on the Nature Reserve at the Ridge of Capard. These are shown on the interpretative board at the car park. All these walks are fully or partially facilitated by a specially designed boardwalk to allow for year-round use and appreiciation of the site.
Viewpoints
There are many fine viewing points within the Nature Reserve. At the Ridge of Capard there is a viewing platform with interpretative signage.
Events: General Public and families
Wildlife walks guided by the local Conservation Ranger and family days take place on the Nature Reserve at Capard different times of the year e.g. at Heritage Week, Biodiversity Week and other dates.
Schools
A strictly limited number of places are available to primary schools to study the ecology of the Nature Reserve. Events include; birdwatching, plant identification and pond dipping.
